since japanese police was allowed to check for the visa, they do it for a try.. it was not before. one time they did the same with me and checked the whole car while they take me to sit inside police car and checked my whole wallet and cards even business cards. i had about 20 different drivers license cash/credit zairyu hokin my number cards and they confirmed all the names addresses and some times asked me verbally whatโs on the card lolz.. of course my name and address was the same on all cards. cash money they didnโt touched. meanwhile my car went through my car thoroughly infront of me and by asking permissions please open dashbord console box, back of the car and all.. it took 30 minutes. and my only mistake was i forgot to switch on headlights when i came from a combini store 20 meters i drove than i realized and switched on the lights.. but already from somewhere they saw me and pulled asked to pull over. so within 50 meters they were there. no drinking no cigarettes no problem with belts no cellphone use nothing. but they let me go and said sorry please keep the headlights on and take precautions. i was pulled over in my life for the first time in 10 years i got scared with all that thorough search! but someone told me now police is allowed to stop any foriegn pedestrian to check the visa or anything!! big brother watching effect sucks!!
