I was at Lemans the year the Mazda won, and I was cursing it!! I was trying to get a few hours sleep in my car at the circuit and the damned Mazda was so loud, anywhere around the lap, that I just couldn't fall asleep!! I was willing it to blow up but of course it didn't and carried on to win. Now I love it of course! Also, in those days the paddock was completely open to the public and I loved nosying around in the backs of the race transporters. In the back of one of the Mazda trucks there were 2 brand new 4 rotor engines, plastic wrapped on pallets!! Seems that they were expecting trouble!
Must be insane to experienc such event. F1 V10 sound when flooring alone is worth it!
That Mazda should win an award just for the sound alone. Can't explain it. It's a visceral sound that cuts into man's soul.

I thought that was the 767B. Over 9,500rpm, but slightly less rotor power than the 787B. Am I wrong?
You're at least trying, but you should try to learn which ferrari you're trying to compare, my guess is an f2004, which means it is top 3 best sounding cars of all time, one of the most successful f1 cars of all time, and schumachers last championship winning car, the 787b wasn't even that good for a group c car, let alone one of the most goated f1 cars of all time
